INVOKE began as a melting pot of Malaysian diversity, a team of volunteers who came together to trigger once-in-a-generation change.
THE COMMERCIAL PIVOT
This first success - running an insurgent electoral campaign between 2016 to 2018 - came about by combining talents and methods across big data analytics, software development, digital marketing, creative design, and nationwide polling.
With mission accomplished and a pool of talents looking for a new purpose, INVOKE pivoted into a commercial tech venture in 2019.
Beginning in 2019, we refocused our talents into crafting efficient data-driven marketing services aimed at micro and small business, forever changing the Malaysian market landscape. This segment leveraged a team of over 40 account managers, content creators, media buyers, and creative artists.
From 2020 onwards, we began cultivating a portfolio of multinational and GLC clients across the Surveys/Market Research and App Development space - undercutting the Big Four through a combination of cost-effectiveness and data-driven outcomes. This segment leveraged a team of over 50 call centre analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and consultants.
Our successes in the aforementioned spaces allowed us to not only weather the COVID-19 pandemic, but grow at an average of 80% Y-o-Y between 2019 to 2022.
THE MOONSHOT AHEAD
Today, INVOKE has shifted gears towards in-house tech product development - creating scalable data-driven solutions for small-to-medium enterprises (SME).
We have done so because we believe in the transformational power of small business.
It is through small business that disruptive ideas emerge, costs are driven down, and consumers benefit from greater choice. It is also via small business that a founder's passions are realised, providing a priceless feeling of liberation.
Our tech product solutions are designed to ease the growing pains of any SME. Through adnexio, businesses are able to scout for talent, upskill them, and manage them all in one place. With meniaga, businesses are able to sell their products with ease and zero cost. With decoris, businesses are able to manage their marketing efforts with clarity and efficiency.
To facilitate our growth, we have eschewed the conventional recruitment methods.
Instead, we take anomalies from diverse socio-economic and academic backgrounds - from school-leavers to postgraduates, from historians to architects - and transform them into savvy commercial advisors, digital marketers, software engineers, and product managers.
Our onboardings last a week instead of months. We believe that by providing gritty young talents (regardless of their experience) a blank canvas for creative and technical expression, that the results will far exceed something 'safe' created by committee.
The end result is a digital Swiss Army knife with an unconventional thought process - moulded by practical realities and out-of-the-box thinking rather than textbooks and lectures.
